Forgive me if this is an old one - I have looked!

I have a Pace v1 Sky Plus box and I'm on the verge of getting Sky HD (just missed the Pennine Plus offer which I'd take today if it came back on). The biggest problem for me in upgrading is that we always have a load of stuff stacking up on the plus box to watch and the thought of clearing it all before switching my card over is quite depressing.

If I use the Copy+ utility, can I copy the contents of my old SD Sky+ box over to the new SkyHD drive? I know it involves invalidating the warranty but I'd still like to know.

Do you, or do you know anybody with a DVD recorder?

The simplest solution would be to archive your recordings to DVD.

That way, your recordings will be secure on disk and you will then have 160GB of space free on your new drive. You will need that space as recording just a few hours in High-Definition will quickly fill it up!
