Copying Recorded SKY+ onto DVD

Morning all, I want to copy some of my recorded SKY+ programes from my SKY+ box to DVD. I dont have a Recordable DVD unit but I do have a computer in another room that has a read/write DVD drive in it. How can I copy the programes off the sky box into my PC? I notice there is a USB port in the back of the Sky box, can I use that in some way? The programes are about 1 hour long for each one.

As stated in million other threads/places, the USB port is not active and NO you can't copy the HDD to a PC unless you have a TV card on the PC and make the transfer in real time...

which tv card would be good enough to make a good digital quality backup
