    Hi,

I'm keen to buy a standalone DVD recorder, but while DVD-R media is cheaper I like the look of the Philips DVD+R/+RW machines due to the editing functions, the multi-region hack and the support for rewritable disks.

So here's a question: If I also bought a Pioneer A04 or A05 DVD-RW drive for my PC, would I be able to somehow transfer the contents of a DVD+RW disk onto a cheaper DVD-R disk?

If so, would I require any special software, or be able to do a straight ISO copy with the likes of Nero. How complicated and time-consuming would the process be?

This way I figure I'd be covered if the DVD+R format goes down the toilet, or the media prices are never competitive with DVD-R.

Any thoughts or advice very much appreciated.
