Bit of a fun thread

As most will probably know, i'm off to Disney World in Sunny Florida soon for a years work experience to hopefully put me on course to get a career.

Sadly while i am away i'm most likely to miss my PS3 the most :D I was considering to buy a PS3 out there, but it's a bit pointless because i wont have the time to dedicate to it. Plus it's funny Florida

I'm thinking of perhaps picking up the PSP Go while i'm out there to meet my gaming needs but i'm totally dreading the game backlog i'm coming back to.

Uncharted 2, MAG, Ghostbusters, Modern Warfare 2, Assassins Creed 2, God of War 3, Heavy Rain, Batman Arkam Asylum, Fight night Round 4, Bioshock 2, Infamous, Grand Tourismo and Mafia 2 to name a few.

I'm going to treat myself to a whole new bedroom makeover to look VERY Modern with maybe a new TV by then too. Hopefully we'll have cross game private chat and a decent version of Home by the time i get back.

Not really a question but just thought i'd post my worry for a game backlog i can never see myself getting out of

I'm off to Orlando next May, should I keep an eye out for Pluto with a Psp Go :)

My Ps3 has been away twice in a month attempting to be fixed and that's bad enough, a year with no Ps3 is wrong esp with MW2 coming out

Think of all the money you can save mate, you will be able to buy them at knock down prices when you come home! :smashin:

That's a good point. A week before i come Home i'll order the lot from play.com ect so they're all here ready for when i get back :D

Then there's the Blu-Ray backlog too  I'm going to need another year to catch up on everything i've missed.

I'm hoping a lot of these games will still be busy online and not deserted like Ghostbusters probably will. I think it's safe to assume Modern Warfare will still have people playing next summer :D

Gl Benchy, seriously just get out there and have fun mate, after a couple of weeks you'll forget about your PS3. There'll be plenty of time in your life to catch up. Working overseas, especially in somewhere as cool as Florida is something you should live to the max (man this sounds like a rejected Pespi ad).

If you have a normal psp couldn't you try and get a few games with those of us who have psp's? GTA psp will be out whilst you're out there...

I spent all in all over 2 and a half years travelling. Never missed my consoles or PCs :)

I did take a DS with me though, was useful for the bus journeys!

If you are staying in one place, though it can be definately worth picking up a second hand one, you can then sell it off when you leave for minimum loss. There will still be rainy days in Florida :)

I did that when I worked the ski season in Oz, even working up to 10-12 hours a day and partying and snowboarding whenever I could, there were still times there was nothing else to do and my second hand Xbox with a few games came in mighty handy!

Yep - think it rains most days in Florida (in the summer at least). Not for long though and I think you'll have plenty to keep you occupied (the Girls sure love the English accent :D)

Congrats on the placement -- you'll be kept busy, of course, but the US is a great place to be/live.

And I don't know whether you've heard, but they love Xbox over there. Might be a good opportunity to test the waters with a 360 set-up.

How about the PS3 motion controller. Using it as a stick to point people towards their table :rotfl:

Think I dropped a $10 note last time I was in the red phone box outside - send it my way if you find it please ;)

That's bought me Final Fantasy VII off the store :smashin:

Tell me about it, last time i went in 2007 i was going to buy a PS3 there and the staff in best Buy almost man handled me in an attempt for me not to buy one.

Funny as it was the same guy who said HD-DVD would win the format war

They also voted in George W Bush. Twice. ;)

Sometimes best to ignore the majority :D
