Got this movie the other day and watched it last night, really forgot how good a movie it is and how good a performance stallone put in. I think the directors additions have added to the film as it felt sligthtly more padded out.
I cant believe the stallone hasnt really done anything since this

I always thought this was an excellent film. I watched the director's cut yesterday. I have to say I thought the original version was better. A lot more mean and tighter. The director's cut wasn't as good.

In a rare moment of cash conscience, I have decided to be sensible, for once, and rent the original to recap. I don't know why I never bought it - probably because I'd largely forgotten it, but hey, who can resist a Special Edition! ;) :D
