I bought a JS Tech vga to plasma convertor a few weeks ago, all was well until I swapped my dvd player ... the setup i have is below.

    Panasonic plasma <custom made vga – vga lead> < JS vga convertor > <scart>dvd recorder scart 1
    dvd recorder scart 2 ,scart> sky+

I therefore loop thru the recorder for sky+ and output all video thru scart 1 on the recorder thru the vga convertor and into the plasma vga port.

My problem: PAL dvd = perfect
    Sky+ = perfect
Recording on hdd of dvd recorder = perfect

NTSC dvd = jumpy , shaky picture with severe “interlacing” and ghosting, almost reminiscent of "macrovisionesque jitters"

NTSC dvd with direct scart connection from scart 1 of dvd recorder to plasma = perfect

I think, therefore that the problem lies with the vga convertor.

Anyone got any ideas, I am reluctant to splash more cash on a component board for the plasma and a top dollar lead towit!

emailed JS Tech am awaiting a reply

i have the same problem too

if my component input is in ntsc mode, then switched off, and pc mode is selected (pwd6), whatever that is connected via the js rgb to vga converter will be juddery.

We're more than happy to check out the VGA unit, and see if we can make adjustments to the unit. Please contact me.

    Twilliams.
The RGB to Plasma VGA unit gives excellent results with the PE20, so should be the same for the PE30. BUT, on the PE20 the VGA socket is on the front.

    All the best,

    Dr John Sim.
