Simply put, can it be done?

I have looked in other threads, and tried different software such as Video 9 and MeGui, but always come back as error or invalid file type. I have quite a few bits of 1080p WMV-HD files that I want to stream across, but at this rate, I don't think it's going to happen.

Perhaps in the not too distant future, an update will be made available to make it easier to access different file types. Or perhaps I would be better going down the route of installing Linux (although I have no experience of Linux at all). But in the meantime, is there a way to do it?

    Many thanks in advance...

video 9 works for me, it mabe your pc

    try reinstalling windows

convert in to 1080p or which ever takes your fancy, use mp4

what i did was download a trailer off psn and pull it on to your pc and right click it and make a custom profile based on those resolution settings

havent realy come across any other programs that will do hidef

Video 9 works for me as well, just not with WMV-HD. Doing a reinstall seems somewhat drastic just to view some hi-def material. You definately sure it's WMV-HD files that work, and not just WMV?

Don't recall having any problems with V9 & WMV-HD either. I do have CCCP installed though so maybe that has something to do with it.

    Combined Community Codec Pack

is a DirectShow filter pack specifically built for playing anime. It has been assembled by some of the most knowledgeable people in online anime distribution, and one of the primary design goals is to play as much as possible with as little as possible. The CCCP attempts to be as unintrusive on your system as possible.
