Converting VR_MOVIE.VRO File on Canon.

Hello all i'm in a bit of a quandry, my mate has given me some of his discks in the Converting VR_MOVIE.VRO file format to convert them to DVD video but i'm having a bit of trouble on how to do it. His recorder a Canon DC100 only has a composite video out via the jack, no firewire or usb. Could someone tell me the easiest way to get them onto DVD, I,m not sure if he has a dvd recorder at home, but i was hoping to be able to edit them someway first.
Would it be easier to but them onto dvd via a recorder them edit them from that using Nero or something similar?

Any help would realy be appreciated

The current version of Nero has got no problems at all with .VRO files....Don't know what DVD editor or write you were planning to use, but you can normally also use the file *.* option to 'import' them....Or I've even been able to import them by just renaming the extension to .mpg.....

Need more information on how you want to process them...
