Anyone had any luck converting PlayTV generated .m2ts files to go on an ipod? (I’m using an ipod touch)

I’ve used VisualHub to do it, but 80% of the files are out of synch.

Anyone got any success stories with any programme, using either a mac or PC?

yet another post of mine goes unanswered.
Surely I am not the only one converting playTV for use on an ipod?

Sorry to give this a bump, but I have found that MPEG SreamClip will do more than a capable job!

Hi I've found Elgato turbo.264 software (even without the USB device plugged in) will let you convert direct to iphone. Also Handbrake will do it - probably simplest actually.

This is from Red Kawa - the same people that do Videora Convertor. To be honest, their programmes all look very similar even though they will be labelled as 'Touch', 'Classic', 'Nano' etc. I've tried Videora Ipod Touch Convertor for m2ts files and that didn't work...does PS3 Video 9 use different software?

Edit: I've just installed it and it looks like the output options are either MP4 or XVid. Obviously the MP4 is the right format for ipod, but they're for resolutions of 480p to 1080p. What would be the point of converting an m2ts file to those, when the PS3 can play m2ts anyway?

I've now installed Xvid4psp and things seem promising in that it recognises the m2ts file and spends aboy 4 mins indexing it, detecting black boarders etc. This program is obviously aimed at pretty technical people (not me then :(). Once I've loaded a file, I can't see a 'convert' option. I can see a 'demux video' but the only output option is mkv. There's a 'save' button, but that's still just m2ts.

    A little help....

Edit: Sussed it now and it does indeed work:clap:

I'm now using Handbrake. TOTALLY free (not just free to try) and it works a treat! Quite quick, excellent PQ and no lip sync issues on the files I've converted.
