Just an update on a previous post when i was having problems with sony vegas movie studio platinum 6.
I had been using Ulead Media Studio Pro 8 but after trying SVMS again with no problems i then switched to Vegas 6.
I've just finished my first wedding using Vegas and i think it is stunning software, very stable, steep learning curve but still not to difficult to put you off.
I was glued to my pc for 3 days editing and the time flew by (good job it was my wifes niece) and the resulting dvd was brilliant.

Could anyone post any links to web sites for video filters/transitions to use with Vegas .

not sure of many links to filters etc but theres some great forums for Vegas, links below plus one link to a few filters and stuff

Vegas really is fantastic spftware and the learning cuve is a breeze when compared with Abobe premier! the interface alone put me off withing 5 minutes of trying it!

I have been using Vegas software for about 8 years now and love it. I also complement it with Excalibur, Herogylph and Prodad. I have just started using BluffTitler as well and I am impressed with this app as well.

I agree with the post above that the learning curve is easy, I used to use Ulead Media Studio Pro when I did Wedding Videos and I had alsorts of problems with it crashing and locking up, plus the learning was horrendous.
I switched to Vegas and have never had a problem with it.

It is a very stable package. I have retired from Weddings now but still use it for all my video work.

Thanks for the replies and the links. I have used Prodad with Ulead .
I had to reinstall Ulead because i kept getting a message - 'Failed to create empty document' when trying to run video capture. It still doesn't load but when i reinstalled Prodad it found and installed into vegas (which was nice):smashin: .
I also have pixelan installed in Ulead but you need to purchase a seperate Vegas version.
Thanks
Jonna
