    I have a Marantz receiver and I am trying to find a converter for it to convert from 110 to 220. Instead of the usual Watts its power is listed as 3.8 Amps. Most of the other devices I have say 14 Watts etc. The converters I have purchased are also listed in Watts.

    Does anyone know how to translate from Amps to Watts?

    Thanks

    Watts = Volts x Amps.

    Thus if your Marantz runs at 110 V and 3.8 amps that equals 420W total.

    I would try and keep a good safety margin 20% or more. So at least 500 Watts.
