    Hey guys,

Does maxing brightness reduce the life span of the tv or is that mostly down to backlight?

I have my contrast set to max since it doesn’t cause any clipping, but always wondered if it would reduce the life span.

Your Subject title is contrast but you're asking about brightness...which is it?

I know backlight can reduce life span which is why I mentioned it but I was wanting to know if contrast has the same effect or does maxing contrast not harm the lifespan?

The contrast setting is generally an image processing function, not a hardware adjustment.
