Continually losing Humax recorder connection

I'm really getting fed up now with the number of times I switch on my TV to watch through my Humax HDR2000T, only to be greeted with an error message because the TV can't connect to it. None of the on-screen options will work, except sometimes reconfiguring the entire hdmi1 connection from scratch. This fault seems most likely to happen when the Humax box is already recording, but by no means always so. Sometimes, the only option seems to be to pull the mains lead out of the back of the recorder, wait a few seconds and then re-insert it. Of course, this means ruining any recording already in progress. Has anybody found a clever fix to this?

I have had a similar issue with my Human made BTTV Box
also sometime flashing images and sound
Box is capable of HD resolution of 1080p but had to amend to 1080i
believe this is fault of BT Box
not sure what max resolution of a HDR200T box is but worth a try?

Thanks for replying, but it's nothing to do with that or else it wouldn't work at all. It's either the remote or the TV continually losing the HDMI settings, or else the TV remote failing to 'talk' to the Humax box.
