Constantine: 2 Disc Set - DVD Region 3 £8.99 at CDWow.

    Release date: 16 June (R2 release date 11th July & I can't find a date for the R1)

It's a Warner release so the pic/sound quality and content should be roughly the same in all regions.

Worth a punt and cheaper still if you have any vouchers.

Checked with the BBFC site - Constantine was certified here without cuts and a running time of 120m39s.

That would be consistent with the 121 mins on CDWow - the UK will be 4% faster so the running time would be about 115 mins.

It is worth noting that the BBFC has already reviewed DVD extra material - including 17 minutes of deleted scenes.

I'm always suspicious of buying so far ahead of release - too much chance of details being wrong or some must-have special getting announced.

    Still....£6.99 is a total bargain :D

Yup, that's what I thought too. So I ordered mine regardless.

Now my next question is, is the film any good? Does it live up to the hype (ie the matrix meets the exorcist, blah, blah, etc.)?

Hmm, so there are three possibilities for the uk release then:

    1) either it is 115 mins and choices mistyped it at 145 mins

    2) or it is 145 mins including deleted scenes and features

    3) or choices direct don't have a clue and its the same as R3 release

I'm inclined to go with the 3rd option. Thanks Sadmuppet for re-assuring me with my purchase :smashin:

I thought it was great - as a big fan of the original comic book (Hellblazer) in the early nineties I had serious missgivings going in but I think they did a pretty good job (despite Americanising a story set in Britain) . Its not going to change anyones life but it will keep you entertained for a few hours. And is certainly worth a flyer for 7 quid :smashin:

Glad they haven't done that with Hitchhikers. Hope they don't do that with V for Vendetta.

If it helps, the BBFC certified the features - and I'd say there's a good hour of them (inc. deleted scenes).

As to the movie - does any movie ever live up to the hype?

I wanted to see it at the cinema - but things happen and I missed it - but I will get the DVD, if only to see if Keanu goes "Whoa!" ;)

from my experiences I've found it's normally wise to snap the bargain up when it first becomes available. If details are wrong they'll swap it or refund anyhow

Hey, new here. I tried those links and the most I got it down to is £7.99 - what am I doing wrong?

Constantine was a decent film, but the DVD's worth buying just for the great cover!

You need to use a £1 link and then when you pay a voucher.

Hi...Looking at other threads, I thought CD-WOW were jumping on the discount link and vouchers when used together. I certainly had an order cancelled, and other people have too. Are they relaxing it again? :lease:

    Cheers,

Orders for Constantine were being taken well before they started the clampdown, so people who used a link and a voucher may well get away with this one.

    Hi Folks

I ordered this today using a £1 link and a £1 voucher (from hotukdeals.com) but just got an e-mail from cd-wow cancelling the order with a reminder to only use one promotional discount per purchase. Fair enough I suppose. Have re-ordered it for £7.99.

They’ve completely cracked down on using 2 vouchers I’m afraid.
