I'm looking to buy this film tomorrow from CD-WOW, but I don't know which version to go for.

The region 2 works out to be about £7 through the Uni of Iowa method, but there is also this:

    http://www11.cd-wow.com/detail_results_2.php?product_code=268884

The region 3 version. Which includes a DTS 6.1 track and costs about the same if you use certain ways.

Has anyone got this version? I'm sure the sound is not an issue, but I'm wondering if the PQ is inferior to the region 2 version or if it's the same.

Any help would be appreciated ;)

I have the R3 and R1 (The R2 seems to be indentical to this) releases of this film and there is very little defference in the picture quality between the two, perhaps the R1 is slightly better.
There are also alot more extras on the R1/2, I havent listened to the DTS soundtrack but I dont know if it will add a great deal.

    Cheers KevD,

Would you say that the R3 PQ is noticably different? I mean, does the region 3 look as good as you'd expect from a new release?

bu5ter, have a look at the thread on this forum entitled 'cd-wow bargains'

Havent watched the whole of the R3 DVD so I have only seen a few sections of it. The movie is intended to look a bit grainy and the bits I did watch were bits where this style was more evident. and this may be why I say R1 was possibly slightly better. The picture quality is good and I have seen much worse on new DVD releases.
