    Hi All
I am considering upgrading my 4 week old Panasonic PW5.
Question is what do you think it is worth ?
Would any resellers take it in Part Ex ?
    I have :
PW5 In Silver Fitted With Terminal Board
    Genuine Panasonic Stand
    Genuine Panasonic Side Speakers
    Panasonic TUPT600 Tuner Box

    Paid Around £4500 For It

What do you think i would get for it, and how is the best way to get rid of it

    Hope You Can Help,
    Thanks

    John

i think a realistic price to advertise a second hand panasonic 42 5 series would be about £2500.00

    Im wanting a Pioneer 43 or 50"
Having paid nearly £4500 for all this only 4 weeks ago , i would have thought it should be worth nearer £3500.

If £2500 is all its worth ill keep it and stick it in the kids bedroom :)

Doesnt any retailers offer part ex ?

Well a matter of personal taste indeed. I prefered the Pio Vs Panny and went for it...but as you can from the threads they are very close. In the bedroom we now have the older 32" CRT....

Usually at best a dealer will swap a four week old item for your other preference, I'm guessing they can't get you a Pioneer ?
At worst a dealer will usually take it back from you at what you paid less VAT i.e. £3800.
Obviously they might not want to !

try putting it in the classifieds section... Your equipment is very new and should sell at a good price.
