Hi guys ! I've come across this forum and I'm hoping someone can answer some questions I have about MCE 2005. I am currently redecorating my bedroom and I thought that whilst I was doing it I would put a nice little home cinema system in as well. Now I was looking at a LCD TV, DVD and Amp and analogue TV signal. However, I've come across MCE 2005 and, on the face of it, it looks like an interesting prospect. It would also save me the cost of putting an analogue TV arial into the room as well. I also have Sky+ in the living room and a netgear wireless G network for my two other computers which are downstairs. However, I have a few questions I'm hoping someone can answer: 1. To get Sky+ through MCE I understand from previous threads that I need to connect it to the media centre via S-video. But how does MCE control what channel I'm watching and does it retain all of the Sky+ functionality ? 2. Can I assume that if your watching Sky+ through MCE upstairs that the TV downstairs has to watch the same Sky channel ? 3. Is it better to put the media centre next to the Sky+ system and have another media centre box (or these new media extenders from MS) in the bedroom and use the wi-fi connection in the house ? 4. Can DVD, TV and music be streamed over a 'G' wi-fi connection and also the Dolby Digital signal from Sky movies or do I need to hardwire over a 10/100 network cable ? 5. Are the media centre DVD players multi-region as I have discs from all over the world ? 6. Are media centre sound cards sufficiently good enough to connect a speaker system directly to, or do I need a separate system with Amp ? Thanks in advance.
