Connectivity advice please, Tosh 46" to PC

Have ordered this from S & V Bolton and am now counting the days til it arrives!

Whats the best way to use this set as a PC monitor? How would I hook the PC up to the set and also my amp? I have an advent 3 gig PC and the sound card is the one supplied with the PC, ie functional amd not a soundblaster Audigy etc.

I will be using my Sony DVD player for DVD's and am not looking (yet!) to make this a homecinema PC but would just appreciate any advice on the above - I like the idea of browsing the web while sat on my comfy sofa!

What outputs does you computer have?

If its just VGA, you need a 15 pin D-sub male to male screened video lead.
For sound use a 3.5 male-male jack for stereo sound.
