I just got one of thease babies and am connecting my dvd player to it.

I connect the player via optical connection.

What I need to know is if I should connect the analog RCA plugs too, and if so why?

    Thanks.

depends on the dvd player, some people prefer the sound on cd playback through analogue connections but anything else would depend on which DVD

    My player is Pioneer DV444.

I was under the impression that optical would be best for all sound, but I guess I will just have to try the analog input too. Its just that I have packed it in too a tv rack and it takes loooong time to get it out again.

Anyway thanks for your help m8.
