Connect an all in one system or av amp simply to it?

I have a Pioneer 5100H. I've not had it long (and happy with it) and I am certainly not want to get rid.

I want a surround sound system but dont want to be limited to the (poorer??? and fewer) systems without a DVD. I can't upgrade to seps as usual the wife loves her wooden floor too much. I would consider virtual or wireless as long as they connect to my PIONEER.

Can anyone help with the folllowing?

    1. Will I be able to connect an "all in one" to my Pioneer (i use is mainly as a VCR)? If so how can I?
    2. Sould I go virtual (if they connect) for either Denon of Kef (get saving)?
    3. Are the wireless options connectable and worthwhile?

    regards

    Steve

Your DVD recorder outputs digital 5.1 via a digital optical connector so you need to make sure that whatever surround system you buy has an optical input to take the feed if you want to playback 5.1 surround sound.
