Hopefully this will be a simple question to some one.
I have the following set up connected and working, but is there a better way?
Samsung LE32R74BDX/EUX TV
Sony RDR-HXD995 DVD & HD Recorder
Sky Plus
Virgin Cable Box
PS2
PC
The Sony box is connected via HDMI to the TV, the Sky plus via a scart to the Sony DVD. The cable box is on AV1 and the PS2 on AV2. The PC is on the VGA input.
When the TV is turned on it either goes to the AV1 (Cable) or digital TV and I can't get it to switch straight to HDMI, even if the DVD is on, so first off can that be resolved.
Secondly, if I am watching digital terrestrial and press the sky button on the remote, it doesn't switch to Sky, like it does when the sky box is on AV1.
Finally if the DVD is off I can't see a picture from the sky box, does HDMI allow pass through like scart?
Can anyone help improve the setup? Ideally I would like t keep the sky box through the DVD recorder as it makes copying easier, plus the picture looks better.
