Was wondering if I plugged my xbox into the ethernet port of my pc would it share my connection? and allow me to use xbox live.

Thanks for taking the time to help. God bless you all with knowledge.

Hmm...don't think that would work. However if you used a router inbetween that should work. Problem is your PC only has a network card and is not a router. But it's generally better anyway to have a firewall/router and thereby create a home network to which you can connect e.g. a laptop, xbox, ps2, etc. Ideally go for a wireless router (which also has ethernet connections).

Maybe there is something like a virtual router software for your pc to get around this, but I don't really know of any.

It would work if you use a crossover cable and Internet Connection Sharing - but a router is better.
