My friend has just purchased a Toshiba 28Z23 TV & SD-42HK DVD, the SD-42HK does not have a scart connector but has component, composite & S-video. The TV has only two scarts, one RGB & one S-video. What we need to know is it possible to get a component to RGB converter, or is it better just to use S-video, to connect the DVD & TV.

Looks like you can get RGB out of the SD42?!
Look Here.

The connections pop up is unviewable, but RGB is in the specs.

I guess you need an RGB to SCART lead.

I am a little concerned at the difference between what I see the SD42 looks like at the Toshiba's site, and what Toshiba describe it will have

That column of 'Video 1 Out' connections, is there a menu setting that would let you alocate them to RGB?!!

Going component to RGB is the wrong way for the common HC setups.
rgbtosvideo have RGB to YUV,

And I've no idea where Tosh have hidden the scart connector.
soz!
