I tried a first bash at FTP last Friday

Connected Xbox to Laptop via Crossover cable and changed LAN settings on Laptop eventually Laptop said that we were connected

I tried to use Qwix as the FTP. Clicked on add new connection and typed in Xbox IP address. Clicked on connection and kept getting error message saying cannot connect

    Can anybody help

Hey Kebabhead, this happened me too. For some reason the IP address I had via XMBC was not the one assigned to the Xbox. I simply went to the Evolution dashboard and I could then FTP in fine. Hope that helps :)

I think you've hit the nail on the head

I was changing the IP adddress on the Xecuter 3 chip settings rather than Evo X

Will try again tonight and boot into Evo X and change the settings that way

PS when transferring files it it a straight forward case of copying files across or is there some configuartion involved to get things to work.

I want to update the ACL files in DVD2Xbox as there are 4 games i can't load from the Hard Drive. I have the latest ACL files. Is it a simple case of copying the files to the ACL folder and thats it?

    Happy to have helped :)
Transferring the files is as straight forward as any FTP app, no extra config is needed. For games, I simply copy them to my games folder and when I access that same folder from XBMC or Evo it simply presents an executable for to execute
