I have a Samsung 709 DVD Player with Digital Coaxil output and a Sony HTK 170 Home Cinema Kit with 6 AV Inputs - Is there a way of connecting the 2. <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

The 6 channel inputs would only be used if you wanted the dvd player to do the dd5.1/dts decoding which may not be present on your amp.

Does the amp not have a co-ax input?

I don't know your model so i need a bit more info.

Does the amp have onboard DD5.1/DTS decoding or is it a DPL amp?

If DPL (which i am guessing it is from the lack of a digital connection), you need to get the dvd to do the decoding. I don't know if your dvd player has an onboard decoder but if it does, it would have 5.1 outputs to go to those 5.1 inputs on the amp.
