    Can somebody help me!

I am going to buy a Panasonic TH-42PZ80B Plasma. Also a Panasonic SC-PT860EB-K Cinema system.

    I have a SKY+ box.

What i want is 5.1 when whatching normal SKY+ channels. From what i have seen, to get this i will need an Optical cable from the SKY box to the Amp.

What is the best way to connect the TV to Cinema and SKY+ box so they all work together with the least number of cables. I think i need a HDMI from the Amp to the TV for the best picture/sound, but will i have to have a Scart from the SKY box to the TV for pictures or is there anything that will give better quality with the connections avalible.

Your subject is a little confusing but I digress.

You've got it right. You will need a SCART cable from the sky+ box to the TV, set to RGB, 16:9, SCART Control=On in the picture settings menu and an optical cable (try the £5 fisual pro from audiovisualonline.co.uk) from the sky+ box to the h/c system. You will also need an HDMI cable from the h/c system to the TV, a £10 job will be fine. See the forum sponsors such as ukhdmi, hdcable, tmfsolutions and markgrant.

    Thanks davepuma, Ian

When looking at these TV's in Currys,Comet etc i was getting conflicting info and silly prices for cables that i didn't know if i needed or not.

Thanks for the site info as well

    Matt
