Hello I have taken delivery of my first Home Cinema Setup.

I have gone for a set of Tannoy FX1 speakers inc Sub / 2 Stands (£238) and a Denon 1603 reciever (£149) which I though was a good deal.

    AMP REAR PIC: http://www.avland.co.uk/denon/avr1603/index.htm

Just curious the best way to connect my DVD and other bits, itv digital box / video to the amp. It looks like I just need standard phone cables (the red / white ones)

    DVD REAR PIC:

I have worked out I need a sub cable (dooh) and was thinking of getting one from here:

Any other tips advice recommendations, appreciated

Yea just plug a red and white into the DVD leading to the Amp and that will work fine...
You could go optical but I personally don't think it's worth the money...

Use coax digital for the DVD connection, 2-channel analog for set-top box etc.

Digital is always preferred over analog, coax is better than optical if at all possible.

Wouldn't these just be stereo leads?

If you don't want Dolby 5.1 or DTS.:p Unless you're talking about just using one bog standard red & white cable and using it as a digital coaxial lead. The standard red & white cables are crap, although you don't need to spend crazy money to get decent cables, check out the DIY section.:)

Dont bother connect viodeo to the amp and usel digital coax for DVD Digital if ITV box has it and stereo red/white (might want to try some better ones) for VHS.
