Not sure this is the right thread but I have an NTL box outputing RGB via SCART that i want to plug into an ISCAN HD +. The NTL box doesn't have audio ports so I need to talk the audio from the SCART to. I've been looking into what cable would work and found this. So my question, is this the right cable for the job? If not what is?
QED AV19 SQART (out) to 6 Phono (Component RGB out + Sync + Stereo Audio out)

    Thanks

I too bought the cable of which you speak for a vast amount of money for a high quality cable. I wanted to use it for a slightly different thing (which I got wrong) - so if you should find you do need one then I'm your man!

Obviously I will start a thread on the classifieds first!

    Hi David,

What were you trying to achieve with the cable?
As you have NTL do you think this will achieve what I want?

    Thanks,
    Anthony

Or you could try a JS RGB to component converter. This will also carry the audio from the NTL box and output it in stereo via phono's, which you could connect direct to your av amp.

By sheer coincidence, there's one for sale in the classifieds as we speak at £50 of the price for a new one... ;) :smashin:

BTW, that cable would work also. Connect 4 phono's to the HD+ (Red,Green,Blue & yellow and the 2 stereo phono's direct to the amp...the Iscan dosen't have analogue audio passthrough IIRC)

I wanted RGB output to my JS TEchnologies converter (outputs component + stereo)

IT cost me 150 quid. I can't comment on scalers as I don't have one and no nothing about them sorry. I think my JS technology Box is the up market version of Family Guy was mentioning.

Family guy, does this mean that you do need the sync cable from the NTL box or could you use just the RGB and stereo outputs?

You do need the sync cable mate. You then set the input you are using on the Iscan to RGB & S...
