    Hi

I am shortly to be changing an old CRT for [probably] a Panasonic TH42PX600P or very similar. Other components will be a Sky HD box and a PS3 [which will be DVD & BluRay player].

I will not be having a home cinema speaker set up but will want to put all the audio signals through my hi-fi amp [which I do currently via phonos].

Can anyone advise me of the setup I will need to do this to achieve best quality sound/vision - for instance will I need a switcing box of some sort to bring together the different sound sources?

I can't find this info on the site but if it's there please direct me and apologies.

If I'm not mistaken, the panny has 2 HDMI sockets.
    1. Connect Sky HD and PS3 to TV using HDMI cable.
    2. Phone cables from PS3 and Sky HD to amp.

2x HDMI, as Stung says for the Sky HD and PS3.
However for audio, the manual -- available from http://www.panasonic.co.uk/customer-Support/download-centre.asp -- shows a L R phono output on the back of the TH42PX600; it should output whatever audio accompanies the currently viewed input, be it PS3, Freeview or Sky HD. So you shouldn't need a switching box.

Thanks chaps. Much appreciated. No problems then. although I have always thought that a signal from the source would provide better quality than one routed through TV. Would only need one set of interconnects through TV. Any suggestions on quality I should be looking for?
