i have got the js rgb converter, and sky (normal) and a sony dav s500

    ..
without spending anymore on dav replacement,
what board do i need to buy ? i also will be getting sky+ soon is there any difference in the connectors avail in the back?

i have searched this forum but everytime i think i have a solution another thread says otherwise..

a simple board name that will accept the dav would be a grt help for starters

    thanks

does DAV not have RGB Scart? (or even better component) if it only has S-video out you need a Video board for the panny:
    TY-42TM6V
    or
    TY-42TM6BB
    LAtter is £85 from AV-sales

SKY+ has RGB scart and S-video (use RGBscart for best results)

the output is RCA -(the red /yellow/ white ones) but when i plug into the JS rgb i get no picture.
i assume this is the scart adaptor thing that i have on the end of the phono connectors..?

and if i get one of the above boards will this allow me to upgrade the dav in the future without chaning the board?

    thanks

sounds like the output is composite (3 rca leads) so it wont work with the the js....and if you changed the dav it's unlikely you would still need a composite input...but you never know...you may do at some stage so maybe the dual component / composite board is teh best bet

will the dual baord still work in the 37" with the only 2 slots avail?
i guess then i have no option for HD if there is an option coming..

but then again i guess the cost of the 2 boards is not much diff to the dual board? in the long term if i caount selling the second hand board for tuppence in the future..

well it will take both slots of course......you could just buy the bnc component board (1 slot)....range between £60 - £80...whereas the rca version is loads more just because its the 'consumer' version.
