    Hi,

I have the wireless Netgear for my laptop which is Windows XP. When the connection is sometimes lost then reconnects I get an annoying chime ringing! How can I turn that off? I know there must be a way on the sound devices. Thanks in advance.

Control panel > Sound and audio devices > Sounds
find the 'device connect/disconnect' sound from here and either remove it or replace with something you'd rather have.

Otherwise mute your pc, as that'll do the job too :p
