Connecting Wii to SR706

I have been trying to connect my wii through my 706 with the supplied cables and with a component cable through the IN2 port and I get nothing. No sound and no video.
I've tried everything I need to wii to go through the reciever and HDMI to my sanyo projector.

I'm going crazy with this any help would be great.
