Connecting up help.

Ive just bought a Sony KV-28HX15 and was wondering about the best way to connect my bits-n-bobs.

Currently I have a DVD player, VHS and Sky and one SCART on my old AKAI.

The Sky plugs into the VHS, as does the incoming TV aerial, then into the telly via a coax cable. This cable also splits and goes upstairs to our boudoir so we can watch vids and sky in bed.

The DVD player plugs into the telly via the SCART socket.

Whats the best way to connect them all up and maintain an output to the upstairs TV?

Here's my idea, which would require the purchase of an RGB-enabled scart switching box to obtain the best picture quality from the DVD and Sky STB:
  • DVD to scart switching box: DVD's scart (set to output RGB) to one of the scart switching box's RGB scarts.
  • Sky STB to scart switching box: Sky STB's TV scart (set to output RGB) to another of the scart switching box's RGB scarts.
[*]Scart switching box to TV: Scart switching box's output scart to TV's AV1 scart.
[*]Sky STB to VCR: Sky STB's VCR scart to VCR's AV2 scart.
  • VCR to TV: VCR's AV1 scart to TV's AV2 scart.
  • Aerial connections: Aerial to Sky STB to VCR to both TVs.
