    Hi there,

Panasonic TX32PD30 TV, Sky+ (V2 I think) the one with the 40 gig hard drive, Pioneer DVD520H DVD recorder and Sony video recorder.

Sky+ connected to scart 1 on TV and L1 input on DVD, Sony video connected to scart 5 on TV and Pioneer connected to scart 4 on TV. Scart 2 and 4 are RGB on Panasonic and either scart 2 or 4 can be used as Q-link on TV. Sky+ video output set to RGB.

The minor problem all works well until I record something from my Sony Video
using the 'Record Direct' button on the Pioneer then when I switch my TV off
and switch it on whenever I then switch the Sky+ box into standby I get a
    single loud bleep.

Now I know how to cure it I have to go into the Panasonic and set the Q-Link AV setting back from monitor to TV and all will work fine until the next
time I record from the Video. I don't think I have the same problem if I
record from Sky or from programs recorded on Sky+ and sent to the Pioneer.

Anyone any ideas of why the Panasonic changes it's settings from TV to
    monitor without my help?

Next question is there a better way to cable this setup and any suggestions on suitable scart cables?

    Many thanks, Tim.
