Have just purchased a DVD recorder and I'd appreciate help from someone with experience as to the best method for connecting them all.

The TV has 2 scart sockets and rf,

    the sky+ box (pace v2) 2 scart, s-video, optical & phono, & rf in/out,

the dvdr (Yamada DVDR8000) has 2 scart, composite out, s-video out, s-video in, rf in/out, audio out, optical out, audio in

    Many thanks

Personally I would use the scart to connect the Sky+ to the TV ( set to RGB ) and the s-video output to the dvdr. Use the optical connections to feed the sound through your dvd, assuming that is you have surround sound. do not use the vcr scart from the Sky+, it does not support RGB.Use the scart on the dvd to goto the TV. If you are lucky both scarts on the TV will be RGB.
