Hi all, I recently bought a pc with winfast pvr.

However, I cannot connect my vcr with a scart connector to the tv card. All the scart to s video leads have a different s video plug.

I may have this totally wrong, but all the other s video sockets have the 'black' locating pin going 'sideways', whereas the socket on the tv card the locating pin goes 'upwards'?.

As I said, I may have this all wrong as I am new to all this. Many thanks, Alan.

    Very odd,
    S-video is a standard connection,
I have seen graphics cards with non-standard connectors and they come with an adapter to switch it to normal s-video, does the socket on the tv card look damaged at all?

hi Lisa, thanks for your reply. No the socket is not damaged. Yes there was an adapter, but when this was connected the video had no colour and the quality was poor. The socket may be for cvbs. Is this possible ? Thanks again, Alan.

    Looking at the diagram here:

    http://www.leadtek.com/multimedia/winfast_pvr2000_1.html

-- the S-Video input is passed via an adapter with two flying leads -- one for S-Video and the other for composite input (note - if you click on the diagram you get an enlargement). This seems to be the same arrangement as came with my Winfast 2000 Deluxe analogue PCI card. If you look at the input socket on the card bracket there will probably be an S-Video style socket with 6 rather than 4 holes. Didn't you get one of these adapters with your kit?
