Connecting Sub

I'm waiting on a Denon 3806 and have a PV1 sub. It came with a lead that has a RJ11 connector at one end and 4 coloured wires at the other.

I bought a Qed Sub cable that plugs into the line in ready for when i get the amp.

Excuse me if this is a stupid question but does this mean I don't need to use the cable that came with the PV1?

EDIT: Have noted post further down with similar question asking if connecting both gives better sound. Guess that means I don't have to use the lead.

In this post the line in is refered to as low level input. What would the RJ11 input be in this case and what is the difference?

Yes, the cable that came with the sub is primarily for connecting to a stereo amp that does not have a dedicated subwoofer output. All you need to use is the QED low level lead you purchased separately.
