I am considering buying a new reciever (Denon AVR-2106) and as a temporary measure, until I can afford a decent set of speakers, I would like to use my existing Sony stereo speakers (SS-H3600) for the front channels (and for stereo music).

The only problem is that these speakers consist of two units each: One midrange/tweeter unit and one woofer unit. Each unit is independently wired. Is it possible to use these speakers with this receiver?

I would like to able to use the woofer units if possible as I don't have a sub’ at the moment.

There are connections for two cables on each unit (2 units making the combined speaker). Therefore a total of 4 cables for both left and right

Can't see why it wouldn'twork as a temporary measure.
Connect the two positive wires from each speaker to the positives on the amp, same for the negative. In effect you'll be 'bi-wiring'

Thanks for your help, I hoping that I could bi-wire them.

do the speakers have impedance rating on them? You may risk damaging something if the impedances are grossly mismatched.
