I have an Akai Pro-Logic video recorder i.e. with its own in built amp and a Grundig DVD Home Theatre system also with its own in built amp. Can I connect one set of speakers to both the video and DVD using two connecting cables to each speaker? Trying to avoid having separate speakers for each system. Thanks for any help/suggestions

I think that one set of speakers with two amps is a recipe for trouble.

If the VCR has audio outputs try running them into the Grundig and using the amp in that for video as well as DVD
