    Hello,

I dunno if i can do this, but I've connected My stereo to my tv before, and it works, because the stereo has an Aux input.

But i was wondering if it was if was possible just to connect some speakers to a TV, the pair of speakers are Mission 700's and i was planning on getting a cable that has two wires ends and an rca jack at the other end and connect it directly to the TV's L & R audio output.

Would this work, or would i have to get an receiver to hook up the speakers?

It won't work as the signal from the audio ouputs requires amplification. The only way you can do this is if your TV has extension speaker outlets, failing which you will need to buy an external amplifier.
