I am not sure how the best way to connect these.

I was thinking of getting a fully wired RGB scart cable to transmit pictures and sound. I read somewhere that scart is only good for pro-logic sound.

Can I use a picture only scart and then use separate cables for the sound? The TV is dolby digital 5.1 but I don't know if the sockets at the back of the sky digibox are optical/co-axial - they seem to be just ordinary left and right audio out.

What sound quality does sky broadcast in?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated!

Just use a decent scart lead.

This will give stereo or prologic, depending on the programme being broadcast.

You will not get DD5.1 from Sky, although this may change in the future.

    Hope that helps :)

use a good scart leed for every day viewing but also connect the phono out on your didgy box to a amp for better sound for watching pro logic programs like X FILES and SIMPSON ect
