hi, I'm not completely sure wether this is the right section to post but I have an issue getting sound to my projector. I inherited a sound bar and projector from a friend and can't connect the audio to it.

The sound bar has 2 RCA phono ports (red and white) the projector has 4 RCA phono ports (left in/out and right in/out). I presume by getting some kind of splitter that I will be able to connect the leads I have and get the sound. Is this correct?

I'm a real newbie to this so apologies if there is a simple answer to this.

Edit to the first post. They are RCA phono connections. I will be connecting my tv and ps4 to it. The projector has a HDMI port and I can get sound through the built in speaker but as it sits behind me i need to get the sound under the screen.

Aha, dont take this the wrong way but a nasty cheap model, the RF tuner gives it away.

I doubt you can connect via HDMI and get audio via the audio out

    Which soundbar ?

No offence. This is hopefully just temp until I convince the wife we need a new one.

forgive me but as I can get sound through the build in speakers of the projector is it not a case of just connecting the RCA cable from the projector to a speaker to relay the sound? So for example:

If I plug in the RCA cable to the sound bar then split them so they connect into all of the RCA ports in the projector (both left and right) would that not allow the sound to come through the sound bar rather than the projector?

Ok then the issue is that the HDMi audio goes to the speakers but not out again.

Yea. Do I just need to connect to the left out and right out or to all the ports?

It fells that way. Im looking at the DAC now, it looks like the 'end' connection is a coaxial port. Where would this connect to on the projector?
