Hope somebody can help me with this one.

Have bought a PW7 with scart board and have HDMI board on order. However the board doesn't look like it will arrive before Christmas and I need to connect Sky+ and my DVD player. I am not keen on spending £120 on the JS VGA converter. Would appreciate any suggestions.

At the very least, you really should consider the RGB to Plasma VGA unit for Sky +. It really does provide an excellent means to connect up your system. You can even share this route with your DVD player using the Master SCART Controller to automatically switch over. Then later use the HDMI board for the DVD.

    All the best,

    Dr John Sim.

If you have the scart board then why not loop the dvd through the RGB scarts on the sky+ ?

If you do go for the JS Tech RGB to VGA convertor then you'll find that it holds it's value pretty well as it's well regarded on this forum. You might make a £20-£30 loss on it - but it should provide you with a better picture than the scart input.

Mate - At first I'd just loop the DVD scart thru Sky box as Jont says, and then Sky+ into Scart board. It may not be perfect but at least see what you think for a few days. Then you can get the JS box if you want that extra 10% PQ.

I have a JS box and it is a great PQ but be sure you need that extra 10% first - sometimes we can all get a bit carried away with this search for perfection :)
