    Hello all,

I want to connect my PS3/Sky+ to my DCS353 to produce 5.1 sound. I know i can connect them via scart but of course that'll produce only 2 channel sound.

The PS3/Sky+ have digital outs (optical) but of course the DCS353 has none which is why im here. It only has HDMI, scart, composite video and stereo out and stereo line in.

Is there any way of doing it?

My DCS353 connects to my TV via HDMI.

    Thanks in advance.

In a word, no, the DCS systems don’t have any other inputs.

Any signal fed it to it via the 2-channel phono will only be reproduced via the front left and right speakers.

If you want proper 5.1 you need a proper amp or sound system with a digital input and proper sound processing, not a basic home cinema system.
