    Hi,

Im about to purchase a pioneer dv575 dvd player and was wondering which is the best way to connect it to my a/v receiver? Should it be connected via the 5.1 output on the dvd player to the 5.1 input on the amp or via one of the digital inter-connections (optical or co-axial)?!

    Thanks.

Coax or Optical for DVD movies

5.1 for DVDA and SACD multichannel music

    i.e. Probably both! :)

Cheers for that, im new to the 'real' world of home cinema (just getting round to replacing my old pro-logic tv!) and didn't really think there would be connections specific to each type of format!

    Thanks again.
