Connecting Phlips to PC

Hi !
Anybody can help me ?

I have
Philips 42PF9641D/10 , firmware 48.24
(on site avaliable only 48.20 )
PC with Radeon X1700 and latest Catalyst drivers
DVI->HDMI cable / also VGA->VGA

in 720p picture is stable and perfectly.
when i connect 1080i by HDMY or 1920x1080x30hz by VGA
pictures and movie display also perfectly, but
desktop, smal text and 1-pixel-line is flicker/shaking/ghost !
I try change contrast, bright and turn off all filters - nothing exchange

I search forum and found many people have same trouble !
And than have two questions

1. Is anybody connect pc to philps 1080i with out of that trouble ?
2. Is anybody found a way to solve that problem ?

it could be your graphics card, that is a high resolution for it to display at

 

and what card i need ?

x1700 is not old card
and have 256mb video memory

 

does it display it ok on a crt monitor that can support that resolution. if so, you can try using powerstrip to set it up more accurately for your display

 

what set up in powerstrip ?
