Connecting personal Minidisc to amp....

    Not that clued up on these type of things.

    Is it possible to connect a personal MD to an amp using the headphone out on the MD, or does the player need a dedicated output? Pretty sure I've seen a minijack to phono lead somewhere.

    No, the MD player does not need a dedicated output to connect to an amp, but if it has one then the output quality is likely to be a bit better.
    As you say all you need is a cable such as one of These from the headphone jack to any input on a HiFi amp. If you have an AV amp with a spare optical input and an optical output on the MD then you could use one of These instead.

    Thanks for your help - didn't want to plug something in that would cause damage.
