Hi,
I'm about to buy a Panasonic TX-32LMD70 LCD TV.

I want to also have the option to run my PC through it. My PC has only a basic graphic card so I will connect to the TV's PC-in socket.

Is this the best way to connect the PC to the TV? Will the picture quality be ok for basic surfing and watching downloaded 720P video?

Would there be any point in getting a VGA-Component convertor and connecting into the TV's component inputs?

Thanks!

VGA - VGA is the best connection for you.
