Have just purchased the above Dvd recorder and would like to connect it up so that it uses the 5.1 surround from my Sony HTP-1100 cinema system. I would also like to have my Panasonic TX-28DTX1 TV to use these speakers too. Is this possible and, if so, what cables should i be buying. I have read some relevant articles on this site, but am still unsure of what to do. Thanks for any help.

If there is an optical cable connection on your sony you should be able to connect your DVD recorder to this. If you dont have cable, Sky or freeview then you should just have a pair of stereo interconnects running from your TV to your home cinema system. You will obviously have to check the manuals to set this up properly.
