Connecting P.C To T.V

My T.V has scarts and rca component inputs, when I connect them with s-video cable the picture quality is very poor.
Is there anyway to connect a p.c to a normal widescreen T.V with the same picture quality as a dvd player?

Is your graphics card a Radeon 9000 series ?

If so, use this thread http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=136811 to get a lead that can connect your VGA port to the TV's RGB SCART port with a very high quality result.
